Our ability to continue as strong advocates for the Historic Frederick Douglass High School (HFDHS) depends on effective inclusive leadership and membership support. The Historic Frederick Douglass High School Alumni Association, Inc. (HFDHSAAINC) operates on a fiscal year basis which runs from July 1 to June 30 each year. The membership renewal period runs from March 30th through July 1st. All members receive newsletters each year, an invitation to our annual Alumni Day program, which is held the first Friday in May each year, an invitation to our annual Seasonal Celebration, which is held in mid-December, as well as an opportunity to volunteer and support our beloved alma mater. Membership payments are tax deductible as the Association is a 501( C ) 3 tax exempt organization.

Life and Golden Life members receive a lapel pin indicating their membership status. Life members can become Golden Life members by increasing their membership category with an additional $250.00. These
categories demonstrate an alumni’s decision to provide an increased level of monetary support to the
HFDHSAAINC scholarship initiatives and general operating obligations.

All members are encouraged to make additional contributions to the Association in order to enable us to provide additional scholarships to graduating seniors each year, as they pursue their higher education goals.
