Cab Calloway was an American jazz singer and bandleader. Born in New York and raised in West Baltimore Maryland. He enlightened many lives with his participation in the school band. And he led dance bands in the United States during 1930-1940.
Our Frederick Douglass High School Alumni, the Late Cabell Calloway III, known throughout as “Cab Calloway”, was born December 25, 1907. He journeyed to eternity on November 18, 1994. He left us with a legacy of music, entertainment, acting and sports.
