2019/12 Alumni Holiday Gathering

On Thursday, December 12, 2019 the Historic Frederick Douglass High School Alumni Association (HFDHSAA) sponsored its “Annual Alumni & Friends Holiday Gathering” in the FDHS Media Center from 5:30 P.M. to   8 P.M.  Attending the event were over fifty officers and members of the Alumni Association, FDHS Administrators, members of the Baltimore City Council and community friends. The media center was decorated beautifully, and the sound of melodious holiday music played continuously.

The event was joyful, cheerful and celebratory with the attendees enjoying good food, good time and fellowship with old and new friends.  During the affair various members of the community and the Association shared information about current events in both the school and the community and indicated how we can help by volunteering our gifts and talents through the Alumni Association. Baltimore City Council President Brandon Scott greeted the group with eloquent and encouraging remarks and Craig Rivers, Principal of FDHS gave heartfelt greetings welcoming all to FDHS.   Brenda G. Thomas, President of the HFDHSAA gave reflective and inspiring remarks as her final duty as President of the Association.

What a phenomenal affair and wonderful way to close out the calendar year.  Everyone ended the evening feeling “Douglass Proud!!”  “Hail O Douglass High!”
